Murderer

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/article/Man-shoots-father-at-barbecue-1320895.php

That's my brother.

He walked into my parent's house and brutally killed my father while my mother laid next to him. Luckily he was caught while on his way to my house to do the same to me.

I carry, my dad didn't....

This happened on 4/3/11 and the trial is next week. I've been biting my tongue because I don't want to help the defense so I won't say much more right now. I am just so pissed off right now.

I'll make a post about my dad later (he was a great guy), I don't think it belongs here.

  6. He is like Absalom

we have seen it before -

the Bible takes new relevance when you have been close to something like this

he has chosen to be what he is

    2. I do not know him but I saw something similar (though he did not kill his father) with my own brother. My brother, who had a fine father and chose to become a self-made-bastard. I believe such people are very similar and described over and over in the Scriptures.

My best wishes and prayers for you and your family.

I am not a Bible scholar but I studied and came to the conclusion that I was not expected to forgive him, that I was expected to leave the punishment of him to others and finally to that Judge who does not know the limitations of Man's law. Truth be told, brother is now living in a hell of his own making.

The best advice I received is here - "from such turn away":

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" 2 Tim. 3:1-5 NKJV

"And may the Lord avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you. As the old saying goes, 'From evildoers come evil deeds, so my hand will not touch you.' "(1 Samuel 24:12-13, NIV)
